What is the way to now?

The way to now is the path we are all seeking – the energy, the balance, of living our lives in the present moment.  Living in the present moment is more difficult than I first thought.  I really thought I was doing it … until I realized I wasn’t.  It was just about a year ago that I started digging a little deeper into my own mind/body/Spirit connection.  It was a year ago that my husband and I really started wanting to have a baby.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I had wanted a baby for years, but this was the moment when the timing was right.  Imagine my disappointment when the moment of conception didn’t happen and I was left wondering what was wrong with my body!  In my mad search for answers and others who were experiencing a similar disappointment, I realized there wasn’t a place where someone was on the journey and sharing the ups and downs with me.  It was also too difficult to share my struggles openly where I worked or in my wider social arena.  It can get real lonely, real fast.

Beyond just struggling to conceive, I realize these are the reproductive years for many of us in our 20s, 30s, and 40s.  They are also the productive years, so we are juggling careers, education, families, and our own spiritual journeys.  We need each other, that’s for sure.  As women, we share this journey together.  Professionally, I am an ordained United Methodist Minister, but more importantly, personally, I am a Christian who seeks and wonders and questions.  I am on the journey like everyone else, putting the pieces of life together to try and get to the place of spiritual centeredness and peace.

Please share your journey too.  This is the whole point of blogging – a unique way of connecting in a safe space, learning from those you might otherwise never encounter.
